Let me summarize my day for you in the form of bullet points. Today I,,
_ Slept in and finally rolled out of bed around 1030a.
_ Drank a pot of coffee all by myself.
_ Did some online Christmas shopping. Some good crafty projects on the gift list this year!
_ Finally found some greasy hangover food in the form of a breakfast croissant. Then the hubs brought me Steak & Shake. Keeper.
_ Returned to my king bed sometime this afternoon where I’ve spent the rest of the day watching Father of the Bride 2 and now Old School and Palladia. Amazing day of TV.
_ Ate unnecessary amounts of cinnamon M&M’s and blue cheese and pretzels.
_ Snuggled with Allie.
_ Stayed in my pj’s and glasses all day.
Absolute bliss. And on a day full of clouds and rain where I had nothing else to do, I got away with it. Plus I got my 10 miles in yesterday so being a glutton didn’t feel so bad 😉
Last night had it’s fair share of ups and downs. Starting with the downs, after an amazing B1G Ten Championship game, my Michigan State Spartans suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Wisconsin Badgers. It truly put a damper on my evening. But at the end of the day, I’m proud of the amazing game they played and unbelievable season they’ve had. I’ll always bleed green & white. Read this amazing article about our guys (Thanks Brad!).
Now the ups! Around 7p last night the hubs and I drove down to Fishers for Nic & Angie’s Christmas party. We were instructed to dress as our favorite Christmas character, of which I put the husband in charge a couple weeks back. Of course, he procrastinated and come 4p, we still had nothing to wear. So I drove up to trusty Menard’s where I found some legit headgear. We definitely had a ‘Make it Work’ moment!
I loved his hat. It’s hard to see, but the antlers were decorated with actual Christmas lights that lit up with the push of a button. I told him he looked like a cute version of Elmer Fudd 🙂
There were some good costumes at the party. Elf, Cindy Lou Hoo, a few snowmen, a reindeer, flannel pajamas with footies & trap doors, ugly sweaters, and my personal favorite: Yukon Cornelius!! Some people had no idea who he was supposed to be, but being the avid claymation connoisseur I am, I knew immediately. Don’t act like you’re not impressed.
There were tasty beverages, treats galore, beer pong, and a gift raffle!
I won a kitchen calendar. Too bad I only have 27 days left to use it 😉
And randomly, someone was shooting off fireworks. Big ones. In December. Only in Indiana.
Thanks to the Sprunger’s for a great time!
And now, it’s probably time I scrounge up something respectful for dinner. Plus, Dexter comes on soon and the hubs promised me a backrub while we watch. Because I deserve one after such a rough day 😉
