I had a wonderful week and thought I’d give y’all a post that is heavy on pictures and light on words. Enjoy it while you can ;)

Love note from Mom & Dad

Love note from Mom & Dad on Tuesday

My 31st birthday was this week. I spent the morning at the bean doctor making sure everything was right on track (and it absolutely is ~ HR 152 and FINALLY some wt gain!) and the rest of the day was spent at work. Not exactly my idea of how to spend a birthday, but it was definitely brightened by the oodles of flowers and sweet treats that awaited me when I returned home! Topped off with dinner with the hubs and snuggles with my Gator and I’d say welcoming 31 wasn’t too shabby at all.

Late night birthday snuggles

Did I mention one of my bouquets was from a lovely anonymous man named Mike? The hubs was uber confused as the flowers were very similar to those he had ordered ;)

Ooh la la

Thanks Mike! <3

These last couple of weeks, my bump has decided to make it’s presence known. I can’t say I’m upset about it. In fact, I’m kind of in love with it.

I received this t-shirt in the mail on Wednesday, which left me utterly confused. Clearly I haven’t registered for any races this year! Come to find out, my Daddy had the shirt delivered to both him and I in order to motivate us for this year’s Mini. Love the shirt. Not so sold on my ability to run 13.1 whilst with child ;) Keep ya posted, Did. MAYBE the 5k.

Thursday was Valentine’s Day. The hubs and I don’t typically celebrate the hallmark holiday since my birthday is the day before. So I made plans to get my hair did (for the first time since the bean came about) and have dinner with some of my true loves, my Perfect Strangers! Since I’m not training for any races this year, I haven’t partook in many Saturday morning meets on the Monon. In other words, I miss them terribly. Despite a little post-dinner frustration with the check, Dana, Kelly, Jaime and I had a blast laughing together and catching up. So grateful for my girls.

Saturday we spent enjoying the nuptials of our friends, Chad and Rebecca. The afternoon ceremony was very beautiful and heartfelt. Afterwards we had some time to kill so we headed over to Scotty’s to watch the IU/ Purdue basketball game (& eat dill chips, duh). The reception that night was at the Delaware Country Club where we enjoyed a tasty dinner and great conversation. It was a wonderful day filled with lots o’ love. Congrats newlyweds!!

Sunday, my inlaws came into town for yet another birthday celebration for moi. We enjoyed a nice afternoon of lunching and lounging. And Mama got her first set of baby books! Better start reading because from what I read, baby can hear me now :)
