I took these pictures yesterday with the intentions of posting a Wordless Wednesday, but (per usual) Wednesday has come and gone without so much as a moment to spare. So,, Thoughtless Thursday instead?? 😉 Here’s how E, A & I spent our day!
We woke up around 8a to 8 inches of fresh snow! We are becoming pretty numb to snow days this winter.
The morning hours were full of bright eyes and smiles! Still not sure where those baby blues came from.
View of the snowy window sill from our kitchen nook. Also a peek at our new window treatments which were installed Tuesday!!
Pretty Miss Allie in her favorite spot!
Her room with a (snowy) view.
A little ExerSaucer time!
Time for breakfast: avocados! This is where the fussiness began,, perhaps instigated by my incessant picture taking.
Let’s play with some toys. AKA, let’s drop every. single. one. on. the. floor.
After multiple attempts to lay E down (peacefully) in his crib for a (much needed) morning nap, Mama finally gave up and laid him down awake so she could shower. Ever tried to enjoy a shower listening to a crying baby? Not possible.
Up and attem after 15 minutes of “rest.” After a quick change, down to the basement we went for playtime.
It didn’t take long before the bib went on. I live with King Spit Up. It’s the only way to salvage his clean clothes.
Head tilting for days.
The next breakdown didn’t take long. Back upstairs we went. Drooling, fussiness, and tears followed. I hate these sad eyes 🙁
Allie is such a sweet girl. So patient. Here she is waiting for her treat after I was finally able to let her outside.
Her new treat eating spot is at the top of the stairs. Just far enough away, but close enough to keep watch.
I helped myself to a treat too. A healthy one.
After some soothing, we made our way back downstairs where we watched some Grey’s Anatomy and attempted to play some more. This reaching gesture pretty much sums up the day. I couldn’t be out of sight for more than a few seconds before he’d lose it.
There were a few sweet moments between brother and sister,,
And a limited amount of tummy time (I tried to get him to scoot towards the mini tape measure (cause that’s a safe baby toy!), but no dice).
And that’s where the pics stopped. The rest of the day was a big blur, but I think there was one very short nap, followed by a sweet potato/ pear dinner, a screaming bath, and more sassiness before bedtime around 9p. He had two doses of Tylenol too because I’m pretty convinced there are some chompers making their way out from under the gums. Who knows though,, I’ve definitely thought that before! We’ll just keep those teething biscuits coming.
So, not such a fun day overall. And definitely not one I had anticipated either. E certainly tested my patience, which was unfortunately lost multiple times. But thankfully our day is going MUCH better today! Ah, the life of a SAHM. Never predictable 🙂
Have a happy Thursday!!
