The Melone/ Doctor wedding took place this past weekend in #puremichigan!
Some of us had a cozy ride north on Thursday, while the rest of us were in the driver’s seat 😉
My parents moved out of their home over the fourth, and are currently awaiting completion of their new house. So in the meantime, they are staying with my Auntie Paula on Lake Lapeer. Though it’s not the home I’m used to, I could definitely get used to waking up to this view everyday.
Friday morning we did some last minute shopping for the hubs and shortly thereafter were on the road to Dearborn for the nuptials. Since the drive was well over an hour, we all decided to get hotel rooms at the wedding site and drive back early in the Am. Our room was darling and even overlooked the ceremony site! [ps,, thanks Auntie S for taking such good care of E!]
Mama doesn’t get dressed up much. Selfie!
Mama & me!
Here comes the bride,,,
The sun was shining so bright and the love was palpable throughout the entire ceremony.
Congrats newlyweds! Let’s cocktail!
Get off your phone!!
The reception took place in the ballroom, which was breathtaking. Especially the flowers (arranged by my good friend, Kelley!) and the beef jerky table. Yes, you heard it right 🙂
Mr. & Mrs. Calvin Doctor!! <3
Danielle’s MOH speech was absolutely perfect.
Just like these two. So gorgeous I still can’t get over them.
Besties for life, Anne and Angela.
The only selfie he’d take with me.
Gigi & GPop.
Joe & I.
Dadyo and his girls.
My feet hurt at the end of the night from dancing so hard. I even learned how to wobble! 😉 We had SUCH a blast at this wedding, it still makes me smile. I’m so happy for my little blonde “cousin” turned stunning bride. Wishing her and Calvin all the best in their new life together!
Since the wedding was Friday, we had the rest of the weekend to play! Saturday morning E finally got a chance to sit in Uncle Cheezz’s Corvette. We’ve definitely got a car man on our hands.
Then once Uncle Bean arrived, we started our afternoon by the water!
Suck in that belly, babe!
Such a stud in his sunnies.
Allie didn’t hesitate to do some swimming with her brother!
Anthony had a little mishap with his stand-up jet ski (yes they still exist) and ended up having to be towed back to land by a fellow boater. Once E went down for his nap, we decided to go motor less and took the kayaks for a spin!
Emery decided to forgo the second half of his nap, so we spent some QT with Nemo and Dori instead.
&& some of us decided to go sans pants for the rest of the evening. The rest of us enjoyed some Miller Lite.
It was a wonderful weekend full of new beginnings and old friends who we lovingly call our family. Thanks for the hospitality Auntie Paula and congrats again to Ash + Calvin!!
